Greetings all. New to the forum and madrix. I have been working with LED’s for some time and using a different program to run my led installation. I’ve been doing a lot of research on Madrix and want to embark on an install of a ceiling grid matrix for a room with dimensions of 75’ x 40’. Any advice from anyone who has done this before in order to make my life easier? Once I am done, I am also going to port my Led Wall into Madrix to sync with my ceiling grid.

I have a general idea of how I want to attack the project, but I’d like to hear from others as I’m sure I will receive some great input.

Some questions I have: What type of LED strip is recommended for best effects without overkill? How to manage power and controllers in the ceiling? Best way to setup LEDs to make the patching process in madrix as simple as possible?

What type of LED strip is recommended for best effects without overkill?
- Sorry, but this hard to say from our side, there are simply too much products on the market and it is hard to evaluate them.

How to manage power and controllers in the ceiling?
- This is also hard to say as there is no 'must' way to go. Since this is also relevant to safety I recommend to hire a proffesional.

Best way to setup LEDs to make the patching process in madrix as simple as possible?
- There are different approaches possible, for example to organize the LEDs in a "snake mode" manner. Unfortunately it is hard to say which would be the best.
- MADRIX 5 makes it quite easy to patch any kind of arrangement, especially if it comes to a 2D rectangle shape like in your case.
- You will have the option to either use the so-called "MADRIX Matrix Generator" or the "Patch Editor".
- The Matrix Generator can be used to quickly create Patches for "regular" shapes, such as rectangles or squares.
