Hi Ben,
Welcome to the MADRIX Forum.
I have LED strobe light that contain two sides of 24 pixels RGB and 24 pixels of Cool white pixels in the middle. how to patch it in the patch editor?
- You can either patch it with single RGB fixtures + 1 Channel fixtures for the white pixels or you can create a corresponding fixture with the "Fixture Editor" with different orientations.
- You can also send us the DMX chart of the fixture to info[at]madrix[dot]com and we can help you to create the required fixture.
second question: how to patch 20 LED tubes lights in a circular truss that will show ok in the 3D mode?.
- Do you have a CAD drawing of the installation? It is possible to create the MADRIX Patch from a .CSV file using the "Import Fixture List" function in the Patch Editor.
- Of course you can also patch the circular shape pixel by pixel (as it is), but due to allignment on a square grid all shapes with angles unequal to 90° result in a "deformation" in their size in the patch. That means you might need to insert spaces between each of the pixels until you achieve a better approximation of the shape.
- In order to help you with the manual placement of fixtures for your patch, you can also load a background image in the MADRIX 5 Patch Editor (In case you want to patch it pixel by pixel).
- Depending on the effects, you still have the option to patch the fixtures as a straight line with the constraint that your patch will differ more from the reality. In that case the MADRIX 5 preview won't work as a visualizer, it should be seen as a technical preview.
