LM501

Hello all,
I have an LM-501 that I am trying to use with Madrix 5. I have followed these links to attempt to connect with Madrix:

I have changed the settings to broadcast mode as instructed and I have enabled all DMX output. I still can't control any pixels on my wall.
There are 3 slave controllers daisy chained to the LM501 via ethernet. There are signal cables connected to the first 7 ports of each slave controller. I have 2 LM501s, 1 is already programmed and connected (this was set up before I worked here) and 1 that is not set up with a program, this is the one I am trying to program and manipulate. The first one is already working, my boss wants more scenes added onto the 2nd one. The 1st LM501 is set up with the following settings, which I have copied onto the 2nd one since if it works for one it should work for the other:
art net 1
universe 1
output 1 universe
slaves 0
My questions are: how is the 1st controller working with these settings? Shouldn't there be 3 slaves and 3 universes per slave?
2nd question: how do I make the 2nd controller work? Madrix recognizes the controller, but even with the DMX devices enabled, it's not letting me control any pixels. I have attached files including pictures of the hardware and screenshots of the madrix settings. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
