SAMSUNG TV DVI OUTPUT

Hi,
I am trying to output a few videos via dvi for a Samsung TV. The resolution is 3840 x 2160p which is too much for any MADRIX key, but I am willing to lower the resolution. The problem I'm having is that I can't find the right DVI output, can you help me choose which product on the DVI output when patching it in? Also can I use a ethernet cable to go straight from the PC to the TV or will I have to go thru the madrix hardware? That would be out of the nebula? Thanks in advance

Hello Leelee,

In the explained situation you will need to output the MADRIX effects via an addional graphic card output which is connected to the TV.
In that case you will need to patch DVI fixtures in the desired resolution. After you have patched it you will need to activate an "External Preview" in "DVI" mode and change the position of that window to be visible at the TV (second screen).
How you can activate an "External Preview" and modifiy the ouput settings you can learn in the following tutorials:
https://help.madrix.com/tutorials/m5/HTML/hidd_output_to_dvi_based_fixtures.html
https://help.madrix.com/tutorials/m5/HTML/hidd_configure_dvi_based_fixtures.html

By the way you are able to scale/stretch the external window if you want to. That means in MADRIX it renders the effects in a smaller resolution and at the end the result will be stretched. This won't affect to the license.
If you want to scale/stretch the external output, please change the settings under "DVI Window Size" in the "External Preview Settings" window.
