Improve performance

I was wondering if there's a way to improve the performance of the effects some look good but others are very laggy and it looks like patch was out of order, even though is not.
In particular the plasma and fire don't look very good. (using videos its even worse)

This setup includes:

1054 6" LED Panels (108 CH per panel)
58 LED Tubes (24 CH)
6 Five meter LED strips. (48 Per meter/240 Per each 5 meters)

I'm using a mac mini with bootcamp
Intel i7
4GB RAM

I think the most important part in this case is your patch size.
If you have a lot of free space where no fixtures are patched this costs Performance you did not use.
.
Beside this the cpu power of your mac mini could be to less.

ok, i do have a lot of free space in my patch.

but i noticed that going into the device settings and changing the frame time from 30 to 20 helps but i can't go lower than 20.

Which Frame time you are speaking about.
A Frame Time of 30ms means 33 FPS, 20ms means 50 FPS.
More Frames means more power is necessary.
I recommend to Change the Main Mix FPS (In Options -> Performance) down to 33 FPS and to leave the Frame Time of the devices at 30ms (to get the 33 FPS as well).
.
Regarding the patch i recommend to erease the space between the fixture Matrix on the left and the other fixtures of the right side if these fixtures are not used for one graphical context.
