RGBWW Support

Post by CHoggard »

We use a lot of 5 Channel LEDs that support RGBWW levels. Would be great to have this added to Madrix as a generic type, much like RGB and RGBW.

Hi CHoggard,

Welcome to the MADRIX forum!

Sorry, but at the moment MADRIX is only able to control up to 4 color channels (RGBW).

But there is a little worka-round:

You could create a two Fixture Profiles with the Fxture Editor:
- For example the first one consists of 5 channels:
1 Red
2 Green
3 Blue
4 White 1
5 White 2 (set to fixed with value 0)
- And the second one also consists of 5 channels:
1 Red
2 Green
3 Blue
4 White 1 (set to fixed with value 0)
5 White 2

Now you can patch both fixtures (with the same DMX Startaddress) to a different position. These fixtures then work in HTP mode and have to choose which area of the matrix you are working on while creating the effects and thus which colors should be outputed.

Here you can learn how to create Fixture Profiles with the MADRIX 5 Fixture Editor:

I hope this helps you!
