Triggering Madrix Cues with Martin MP-C?

Post by CodyYeager »

Hello,

Semi new to the Madrix programming world, and before I got too wrapped up in trying to figure this out myself, I wanted to ask on here:

Have any of you ever run Madrix cues or presets on the Martin MP-C show controller?
Or any light board/software like Freestyler, MP-C, etc?

Or been able to control the color value of a Madrix output via a show controller like freestyler or mp-c?

I run Martin MP-C through the Martin M2PC Board to control all of my movers and wash lights, and have a separate computer with Madrix on it and have to hop back and forth to run both during shows. Any way to merge the two with having M2PC remain the primary board would be awesome.

I didn't know if you could link the luna/madrix patch to a light board patch.

Any help even relating to this would be amazing!

Thanks,
Cody

Hello CodyYeager,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum!
.
You can control MADRIX remotely with you Martin M-PC via DMX or Art-Net.
Therefor you have to patch a MADRIX fixture in your console and in MADRIX you have to set up the DMX-IN connection. In the following links you can learn how you can set up a DMX/Art-Net remote connection in MADRIX:
http://help.madrix.com/tutorials/html/i ... mx_in.html
http://help.madrix.com/tutorials/html/i ... emote.html
When you have connected MADRIX with your console you are able to control the global settings of MADRIX. Like change Storage or Place, change the color of the Storage Filter, change the possition of the crossfader, start and stop the Cuelist and much more.
In MADRIX you will find 3 predefined remote protocols. Under the following link you will find an overview:
http://help.madrix.com/m3/html/madrix/i ... l_dmx.html
But you can also create your own DMX-Input protocol with the help of the "DMX Remote Editor". In the follwonig link you can learn how you can create our own remote protocol:
