madrix preview window error

hello

im new to madrix but encountered an error message straight after first install. i opened the program and got an error in the preview window saying preview disabled : open gl invalid - minimum open gl 2 required.

i decided to check my open gl version and i currently have open gl 3.1 so this computer should be fine

can someone help as iv tried a fresh install and a graphics card driver update
