2 LED Tubes running same DMX channels
Hello
I am doing a test on 2 pixel tubes with Madrix. When I run a effect, both tubes are displaying the same patterns.
Running Madrix Demo Version
Pixel tubes are 16 pixels 48 channels
x = 2 y=16 z= 1
orientation= vertical
start channel = 1
dmx universe = 1
setup
tube 1 channels 1-48 and
tube 2 channels 49-94
When I run a effect I notice that both tubes are running the same patterns. They are both running Tube 1 patterns. I checked the DMX watcher and it is sending the dmx signals ok to both tubes independently.
I do not have the tubes merged in the Matrix Generator window.
Does anyone know how to get the second tube to run on channels 49-94?
I attached both tubes on 1 T connector. I don't know if that is the issue.
Do the pixel tubes auto generate a dmx address?
Any advice would help.
Thanks,
Sam

Re: 2 LED Tubes running same DMX channels
Usually with most pixel tubes, you have to program them to respond to the correct addresses either with a small hand-held programmer, or directly with dip-switches. You could check the documentation of your product to correctly program them. By default most tubes are programmed to respond to address 1 and that is probably why both your tubes are doing the same thing.
