Does Madrix do any gamma correction?

Post by jstjohnz »

My question concerns the display of a jpg image or video on a led pixel matrix. Most RGB pixels seem to be linear, essentially a gamma of 1.0. Typically digital images and video are pre-corrected for gamma, assuming a gamma of about 2 will be used on the display device.

I am wondering if Madrix processes video or still images in any way before sending to display to make the gamma curve more suitable for diplay on a linear LED device, where gamma is essentially 1.0.
